Yugoslavia 2 Brazil 1
Estadio Parque Central, Montevideo (5,000)
14 July 1930
Yugoslavia were 2-0 up at half-time and although Preguinho pulled one back in the second half Brazil could not overcome the deficit and barring a miraculous result by Bolivia against the European visitors, were eliminated.

VIVA URUGUAY
Yugoslavia 4 Bolivia 0
Estadio Parque Central, Montevideo (800)
17 July 1930
When the teams lined up for pre-match photographs the Bolivian team revealed shirts with large letters stitched on that spelled out VIVA URUGUAY. While it is a shame only 800 people witnessed this publicity stunt, at least the photographs survive. Bolivia held out and had several goals disallowed in the first hour and but they were then overwhelmed.
(A player went missing for one team photo so the shirts spelled out VIVA URUGAY instead.)

Brazil 4 Bolivia 0
Estadio Centenario, Montevideo (1,200)
20 July 1930
There was only pride to play for and once again Bolivia put up a good fight, restricting Brazil to just one goal in the first half. In the second half, however, they faded and Brazil ran in three more. Photographs indicate that both teams lined up in their white shirts suggesting that they had both neglected to pack alternatives. Bolivia had to borrow a set of tops from the hosts for the game itself.
